The XAUTicker live feed put spot gold at $4,401.65 per troy ounce on 17 August, up $25.47, or 0.58%, from the previous close of $4,376.18. The session range ran from $4,367.85 to $4,413.98, leaving the market clustered around the $4,400 area highlighted by TradingView, FXLeaders, Moneyweb and Invezz. XAUTicker showed spot silver firmer at $65.82, up 1.75%, with the gold/silver ratio at 66.9.
